The
human body, human interaction is what initially ignites my passion
to create. Beginning with the pencil, I observe different physical
characteristics. With my whimsical sketches, I then combine
the found various traits and develop a unique character. Once
I have illustrated the physical being, I next develop their
fictitious personality by personal interaction with my peers.
I am intrigued with people's motivation and purpose of waking
up in the morning. Everyone has a story and I investigate this
by honest interrogation. The public's sensuality, awkwardness
and vulnerability are the essence of my fascination. Surrounding
this I write scripts working around my daily research and adapt
it into a variety of mediums.
From
illustration to painting, graphic design followed next, where
I mastered the eye to see composition within any given frame.
Along with this new tool, the computer, I expanded my examination
of where fine art meets technology. Always seeking new challenges,
I took this still image yet to a new realm, video and animation
- the moving image. Here is where I really explore and dare
myself with a multiplicity of mediums. With the combination
of drawing, photography and video I develop a rawness and honesty
with my work. Lastly, the viewer not only sees a piece of themselves,
but ultimately a reflection of the world neighboring, both comedic
and emotional.
Be
it design, illustration or video, I am a fine artist first.
An energetic artist who is constantly sniffing around and testing
novel methods to produce a fresh, innovative voice to call my
very own. In short, I define myself as a multi-creator.
